Po Cheng Chu, MD

Dr. Po Cheng Chu has been practicing gastroenterology and hepatology for over 20 years. He completed internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship trainings at Maimonides Medical Center and specialized clinical hepatology fellowship training at New York University Langone Medical Center. During his medical training, Dr. Chu was actively engaged in clinical research and many of his findings were presented at national medical meeting.

After medical training Dr. Chu has been providing outstanding medical service to diverse ethnic communities in Brooklyn and Queens. He is a caring and compassionate physician who communicates effectively with patients and champions a patient-centered approach to patient care.

Dr. Chu specializes in managing a wide spectrum of digestive and liver disorders and has extensive expertise in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; including endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and small bowel capsule. His clinic focus encompasses acid reflux, gastric ulcer, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), chronic constipation and diarrhea, fatty liver disease, hepatitis, screening colonoscopy, gastrointestinal malignancy and its prevention.
